The ArtTech Forum 2023 took place on September 14 & 15 in Villars, Switzerland
After the Ecole polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in 2017, the HEAD-Geneva in 2018, the Giorgio Cini Foundation, Venice, in 2019, the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Zurich in 2020 and, in 2021, Sabanci University in Istanbul, Villars hosted the event on September 14 & 15, 2023.
During a day and a half of conferences, round tables and debates, more than 100 people were brought together to discuss current issues in the cultural and creative industries sector and to measure the impact of technology on our society through creativity and culture.
Music, sound, interactive media, cinema, performing arts, visual arts, fashiontech, blockchain, IA, immersion, XR and metaverse are some of the topics that were addressed by more than 50 speakers.
Cosmogony, a remote digital performance in real time created by the Compagnie Gilles Jobin, was presented in Villars at the end of the first day. It has so far been screened live in 10 cities, 8 countries and 3 continents, and has won several awards.
We also awarded the 6th ArtTech Prize to one of the 8 innovative startups selected by an international jury.
Faithful to the missions it set itself in 2017, the ArtTech Foundation is assuming its ambition to provide a knowledge-sharing and networking platform for all creators, organisations, cultural institutions, companies and investors in the cultural and creative industries sector.
It wishes to offer value by offering visibility to this still poorly known field – especially in Switzerland – and to raise awareness of the immense opportunities it represents for our society and for the economy.
