The ArtTech Prize is an international competition created in 2017 by the ArtTech Foundation to support entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative industries.
This year, 8 start-ups will be selected by an international jury and invited to pitch at the AVARA Art&Tech Event in Oulu, Finland, on November 20.
The winner of the ArtTech Prize 2025 will be granted with a prize of Euros 10,000.

The selection criteria and process
An international jury will select 8 start-ups, according the main criteria below:
- Originality of the project
- Technological innovation and its implementation for the Arts and Culture
- Value for the customers / public / cultural institutions
- Market size and penetration, geographical range
- Economics and financing
- Quality and expertise of the leadership team
The nominated start-ups are invited to pitch (5 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A) during the annual ArtTech event in Oulu, Finland. The winner will be chosen by the audience and the jury. While the jury will not be present during the event, they will make their selection based on a video pitch submitted in advance by the selected startups.
Conditions to apply
- The start-up was created in the last 7 years
- If selected its representant will be able to come to the ArtTech event (20.11.2025). On-site attendance is compulsory for all selected startups.
- The registration must be filled online and submitted with all below information in English, via the application platform:
- Information about the start-up
- Founder(s)’s presentation (500 characters)
- Company pitch (1000 characters)
- Financial objectives (1000 characters)
- Ambitions (500 characters)
- Documents (Cloud drive link to a presentation deck, including a detailed business plan)
- Selected start-ups will be required to submit a 3–5 minute video pitch before October 15, which will be used by the jury to cast their votes.
- Selected start-ups must arrange their own travel to pitch on-site; the ArtTech Foundation will contribute up to €800 upon receipt submission.
Practical details
Each participant will be informed of the jury’s selection decision on September 30. If the start-up is nominated, the ArtTech Foundation will support the journey fees (transport and accomodation) with a contribution of maximum €800 on presentation of receipts.
The ArtTech Foundation will communicate about the nominated start-ups.
Please note that your personal data (protection guaranteed) will be transferred to the ArtTech Foundation and used for the sole purpose of processing your request for registration to the ArtTech Prize.
