Where? Oulu, Finland – the 2026 European Capital of Culture

AVARA is an annual gathering that brings together a unique interdisciplinary community of artists, technologists, and cultural innovators. This year, the ArtTech Foundation is proud to contribute to this dynamic platform, reinforcing its mission of fostering dialogue and innovation at the intersection of art, technology, and social impact.

Theme for 2025: PLAY

The 2025 edition will explore the role of play in creativity and technological innovation, diving into new artistic expressions, interactive experiences, and emerging digital practices.

What to Expect?

Over three days, participants will engage in keynotes, discussions, workshops, co-design sessions, and performances, showcasing the latest developments in the field. 

2025 ArtTech Prize 

As part of the event, the ArtTech Foundation is honored to present the 8th ArtTech Prize, recognizing one of eight innovative startups selected by an international jury. This year, the event expands its scope with the addition of keynotes from former winners and industry experts, providing valuable insights into the evolving landscape of art and technology.
