Ulli is an angel investor and entrepreneur. Talking Art and Tech – she has launched an internet gallery in 2001, the very first one in Germany, followed by her contemporary art galleries in Frankfurt am Main and New York. She is managing the relationships between Culttech and its financial supporters, with a focus on individual tech investors for the Accelerator.
Severin Zugmayer, Founder, New Renaissance Ventures:
Severin has over 10 years of experience in top-tier VC, global FMCG and Big Tech. Most recently, he launched New Renaissance Ventures, the first dedicated venture fund for the Cultural and Creative Industries investing in the most ambitious tech founders across Europe.
Marco Cappellini, CEO and co-founder, Artcentrica:
Marco has 25 years of experience in art and technology as an electronic engineer. From 1997 to 1998, he served as technical manager for the HYPERMUSEUM Project for the CIVITA Consortium. Since 1999, Cappellini has been the CEO and co-founder of Centrica, a digital-imaging company that creates immersive exhibitions, such as the Renaissance Experience, which was showcased at the National Museum in Beijing and attracted over 200,000 paying visitors. Additionally, he co-founded and serves as CEO of the ArtCentrica Edtech startup, which has received multiple awards since its launch in 2022.
Carina Popovici, CEO & Co-Founder, Art Recognition :
Dr. Carina Popovici is a co-founder and CEO of Art Recognition, an ArtTech startup based in Zurich. The company offers to art experts and enthusiasts an AI Engine for art authentication and forgery detection. While being an art lover, Carina is also an experienced programmer, having developed in the past algorithms with applications in physics and finance. She holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Tübingen (Germany) and has previously worked as a risk specialist in the Swiss banking industry. Driven by her passion for art, Carina embarked on the entrepreneurial path and founded Art Recognition. Today, the company stands out as one of the few women-led startups in the art market that operates at the forefront of AI technology.
